Countryside & Fun
Leisure activities and the region surrounding the Eisvogel
The Hallertau area and the adjoining Altmühltal valley offer endless possibilities for leisure activities. Whether exploring the surroundings by bicycle or car, sporting activities such as tennis, golf or even Nordic walking - whether heading to the traditional cultural attractions - the area around Bad Gögging offers something for everyone to experience. The nearby towns of Kelheim, Regensburg and Ingolstadt - even Landshut - are just a short journey away and provide plenty of interesting things to do and see.
At the EISVOGEL bicycles are available to use free of charge; and the in-house SpielGolf course is also a lot of fun. Even a walk along the River Abens is a small adventure. We will be pleased to provide further suggestions and information about leisure activities in and around Bad Gögging at the hotel reception.
With this challenging version of miniature golf you can not only enjoy a near natural experience but walking on the green is also encouraged. In SpielGolf the holes on the course are also wider and longer than in conventional mingolf and are made of artificial turf.
Sport in Hallertau
The home of the kingfisher has a lot to offer – explore the Hallertau area on foot or by bicycle. Discover the Limes World Heritage Site along numerous hiking and cycling trails through enchanting “Holledau”. Anglers will also get their money’s worth and golfing enthusiasts can practice their tee-off during the holiday.
There is much to say about the "wild hill" of "Holledau", as the Hallertau area is known locally; for example about hop growing, local traditions and, of course, the beer.
Easy Rider in der Hallertau
The Eisvogel is a convenient starting point for your bike tours - whether to Altmühltal-Jura, the Upper Palatinate or Bavarian Forest; Donau-Ries or Chiemgau areas. All these picturesque landscapes are within a 200km radius of the Hotel Eisvogel.
